April – Clean for the Queen!

To celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday 1st Lindfield Scout Group took part in the 'Clean for the Queen'. All through the week the Scouts and Cubs were armed with rubber gloves and litter pickers and worked their way through Eastern Road Nature Reserve, Scrase Valley Nature Reserve and Lindfield Common picking up every bit of litter they could find.  They filled over 20 bags! This was a great community event and we received some really lovely comments whilst out and about.  Well done all!

March – Bedelands, Blacklands and Jumble

Cubs once again visited Mark 'Bushcraft Buddha' at Bedelands and embarked on a very muddy and wet walk around the Nature Reserve. Mark showed us how trees and plants can help us in a survival situation - luckily we didn't have to put anything in practice that night, all home safely!

Sarah organised a Jumble Sale at the the Scout Hut on 19th March.  A huge amount was donated and she managed to raise over £280 to go towards the Beavers trip to Fishers Farm later in the year.  Well done Sarah, Sarah's mum and friend, Leaders Sharon and Ali, Mr and Mrs Walker and our Duke of Edinburgh volunteers Jack Garwood, Josh Saunt and Josh Walker for all your hard work selling!

March also saw a trip to Blankland Farm for the Beavers.  They had a go at Low Ropes and Sucker Archery at Blackland farm.   Great evening, thank you Blackland Farm for having us!

February – Beavers Postcards

Beavers made post cards about Lindfield and our Beavers and why they enjoy it and sent them to other Beaver colonies aroung the county.  They even walked into the village to post them. They have already had lots of replies

January – Back to Scouting

We don't let the weather dampen our spirits, plenty of things to do in the Scout Hut...Cub leaders found a ladders game that they could play, runaround fun!
