The Cub Scout section follows on from Beavers and is aimed at those aged 8 – 10 ½ yrs old.  Our meetings consist of games and activities, with plenty of time spent outdoors.  Cubs also take part in a wide range of activities outside of the hut including potholing, hiking, archery, climbing and kayaking.

We encourage all of our members to achieve their Silver Chief Scout Award during their time with us, the highest award achievable as a Cub.  Activities are structured to help with the ambitious tasks that this involves.  It is not easy, but we have great fun doing it!

Camps are the most memorable events of the year for Cubs.  We aim to hold a camp each year, usually in May.  Events such as these help Cubs to become more independent and more confident members of our community.

We have two Cub packs, meeting in term time:

  • Wednesday (Hyena Pack)  5.30pm – 7pm
  • Friday (Wolf pack) 6.45pm – 8.15pm
